How can I register for SIA Charity Run 2017?
You can register online right here.
What are the payment method for the online registration portal?
After you have completed registration, online payment can be made with VISA, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover cards via PayPal.
How will I know if my entry has been accepted?
You will receive a confirmation slip upon your successful registration.
Successful applicants will also be able to login here to print out your race confirmation slip and edit your particulars if required.
Note that you will need to produce your printed confirmation slip together with your NRIC/Passport when you collect your Race Entry Pack.
Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after registration?
No. All race entries are strictly non-refundable.
Can I make changes to my personal particulars after submitting my registration?
Yes. You can by logging in here to change your particulars or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Participants will be unable to change their:
– Race Category
– Date of Birth
– NRIC and Gender
Any other changes must be made by 30 September 2017.
Can I change race categories after I have registered?
Can I join multiple race categories?
No, you are unable to participate in multiple race categories.
Why have I not received my confirmation slip despite registering and making payment?
There could be several reasons:
– The email has been blocked by your mail server and / or treated as spam
– Your registration was not successful
– There might have been an error in your email address

Please allow at least 3-5 working days for us to get back to you.
*The hotline operates from 11:00am to 6:00pm (GMT +0800 Singapore in Singapore Time), Monday to Friday, excluding eve of public holidays and public holidays.
If I do not wish to withdraw from the race, can I transfer my registration?
No. All race entries are strictly non-transferable.
The website and registration portal secure?
Yes. Our site is SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) coded, a security protocol that is used and reflected by HTTP Secure (https) in the website address to represent a secure connection.

How many Race Categories are there?
There are 3 race categories available for participation, namely:
– 5KM Fun Run
– 10KM Challenge
– 10KM Corporate Challenge
What is the minimum age limit to participate in SIA Charity Run 2017?
You have to be 16 years and above as of 08 Oct 2017 to participate in the 10KM Challenge race category of the race.
You have to be 13 years and above as of 08 Oct 2017 to participate in the 5KM Fun Run (Adult) race category of the race.
You have to be between 6 years to 12 years as of 08 Oct 2017 to participate in the 5KM Fun Run (Kids) race category. Adult supervision by a registered 5KM (Adult) participant above the age of 18 is required. Due to safety reasons, one 5KM (Adult) participant must be paired with one 5KM (Kid) participant.
If I do not complete the race in the stipulated time-frame, will I be entitled to the finisher’s item such as the finisher medal?
Can I run the race route without registering?
No. Individuals on the race route without an official race bib will be removed.
Can I skate or cycle during the race instead?
No. Any wheel-run objects such as wheelchairs, strollers, skates or bicycles are not allowed on the race route.
What is a Race Entry Pack?
It is a pack containing necessary items for your race. This includes your bib, the event guide, a running singlet and other sponsored items.
Where and when is the SIA Charity Run 2017 Race Entry Pack Collection point?
More details will be provided soon.
If you are unable to collect your race entry pack, you may authorize a representative to collect it on your behalf. Please download and complete the Letter of Authorisation. Your representative must produce the following for collection:
– NRIC or photo ID for verification purposes
– A copy of the race confirmation slip (Both soft and hardcopies are accepted)

Is there a baggage check-in area at the start?
Yes, there is a baggage check-in area* at the race village where runners can deposit their belongings.
*Counters will only accept items secured in bag(s). Runners must collect an official baggage tag at the counter and attach it to the bag.
While maximum care and security will be enforced, the organiser will not be responsible for any loss or damaged items or delay in retrieving the bags. Participants are advised to arrive 2 hours before their start time as delays are expected.
Will there be course markers along the race routes?
Yes, distance markers will be available every 2KM along the race routes.
Will there be an awards ceremony?
All winners will be presented with their respective awards during the prize presentation ceremony.
How will my race timing be recorded?
Race timings will be recorded by MYLAPS Tag, an electronic race timing system with an accuracy up to a hundredth of a second.
Participants who register for the 10KM race category will be timed using the MYLAPS Tag electronic race timing system.
How do I use my Timing Chip?
If you are using the MYLAPS Tag, please ensure the following in order to receive an accurate time.
– Race bib is clearly visible on the front of the torso
– Race bib is unaltered and unmodified (do not fold or wrinkle)
– Race bib is pinned in all four corners
– Race bib is not covered (jackets, runner belts, water bottles, etc.)
How can I access my personal race results after the event?
Participants will be granted access to their personal race results (Gun Time and Chip Time), as captured by the timing system on the race website, 48 hours after the last cut-off time.
What if I am injured during the race or otherwise unable to finish the race?
First aiders will be deployed along the route. Participants who are in need of immediate attention can also alert the route marshals.
Is there a cut-off time for the SIA Charity Run 2017?
Yes there are several cut off points along the route for different categories. Participants who fail to meet the cut off timing will be asked to board the sweeper bus.
– 5KM Fun Run: 1 Hour 30 Mins
– All 10KM Race Categories: 3 Hours
*Cut-off timings stated are based on the first flag-off for each race category.
